The CRES ARC held a lunch meeting in the Franklin room on 17 Feb 1999. The meeting was called to order by President Jerry Scott/K9RV at 11:35 AM. Those present included: K9RV, WD8CZG, KE8QN, K8GZ, KD8ZG, KC8HIH, KD8WK, KA8ZRT, Shawn Coppel, and Terry Cooper. The previous Secretary's report was accepted without changes. Rob reported the club checking account had $761.04, after an expenditure of $76.00 for the ED-1000W editor for the repeater controller. The petty cash fund was unchanged at $16.15, and there were $90.00 in undeposited dues. Jerry reported that the club's downed dipole had apparently been repaired by persons unknown. Thanks to whoever took care of it. Discussions on the club putting up Doug Svitchan's 440 repeater were tabled because Doug was in New Jersey and unable to attend the meeting. Art reported the VE Exam day has been moved from April 10 to April 17th due to scheduling problems at Parkview Presbyterian Church. The 17th is still tentative, but it is believed we can get the rooms on that date. There may be a ham class of twenty or more members wanting exams on that date, so we may need more than the usual number of Volunteer Examiners. Gordy indicated he had received the new editor and it has proved easier to use than its predecessor. Jerry stated that the key situation still had not been resolved. The Trustee's key needs to be transitioned to the new Trustee. Rob indicated that the signature card for the checking account at Telhio also had to be updated to remove Past President Jim Yoder and insert Jerry as President. A question on the use of the autopatch was deferred to a later meeting when Gordy may present an entire meeting on the subject of the repeater and its controller. The next meeting will be held on March 17th in the Franklin Room. The topic for discussion will be the upcoming Fox Hunt. The meeting was adjourned at 11:50 PM. After the meeting, several members presented interesting examples of unique radio gear they own. Rob Stampfli CRES-ARC Sec/Treas
