The CRES Amateur Radio Club held a general membership meeting on Wednesday, 20 June 2007, at the New Albany library. The following members were in attendance: President Bill Erwin/N9CX, Vice President Dave Brown/K8AX, Secretary Treasurer Rob Stampfli/KD8WK (arrived late), Trustee Mike Rauh/W8GT, Jay Slough/K4ZLE, Al Mecozzi/WA8LBZ, David Woolf/K8RSP, Greg Stout/KD8FYD, Bob Kenyon/K8LJ, Tricia Kovacs/KC8HIH, David Jeffords/K8ON, Bob Cartwright/W3CRZ, Jim Kerr/ K8KJ, Dan Merrick/K8TX, Andy Elliott/K8LE, and Doug Scofea/KB8ACJ. After a social hour, the meeting was called to order by President Bill Erwin N9CX at 7:00 PM. We welcomed visitors Jay Slough and Doug Scofea. Treasurer's Report: We have $1,660.25 in Telhio checking/savings, $305.77 in our cash account, and $5,709.12 in CDs. Bob Cartwright reported Field Day plans were proceeding well. He has sent out a mailing to the club with the details. Dave Woolf reported the hum problem in the repeater has not yet been resolved. Also, the old club room has been stripped and our phone line to the repeater was disconnected, but we are attempting to get a direct line run to resolve this. Mt. Carmel would like us to move forward with the tower/antenna removal. They would prefer it be done during the work week. Our next VE exams will be at the Columbus Ham-OH-Rama Hamfest to be held at the Aladdin Shrine Temple on Saturday, August 4th. There was no old business or new business. Thanks to the generousity of Jerry McFarland/W8QI, we had three significant door prizes. Three donated QRP transceivers were won by K8LJ, K8RSP, and W8GT. The meeting was adjourned at 7:28 PM, after which Dave Brown introduced Jay Slough, who gave quite an interesting talk entitled "Going on your own DXpedition" in which he described his experiences and what he had learned about operating from far flung places. Respectfully submitted, Rob Stampfli CRES-ARC Secretary/Treasurer
