The Secretary's report from the February 2016 meeting, available on the website, was accepted. The Treasurer reported we have $6,977.23 in the treasury and 33 paid members. KD8ZG reported that eight candidates were tested at the April 2nd exam session: Two passed the General exam, and six qualified as Techs. The Columbus hamfest will be held on August 6th at the new Masonic facility in Grove City. The CRES VE team will hold a closed session exam on May 14th for 7-10 members of the Ohio Military Reserve who are interested in acquiring a ham license. K8RSP reported the repeater was in generally good condition. He is working out some final kinks between the new Fusion machine and the controller. K8LJ indicated that Tate has tweaked our EchoLink node and it is difficult to tell an EchoLink contact from a traditional 2m contact on the machine now. N8WL recognized N4DLR for doing a fine job running last Sunday's CRES-ARC net. All the net checkins were via EchoLink. KD8WK reported that Silent Key Harry Maddox, KE8DC's, family would like to have his tower and beam taken down and removed from the premises. They are offering the fold-over tower, beam (believed to be a Mosley Classic 33), rotor, and associated hardware, to anyone willing to take them down and haul them away. Call Carol Wilcox at 614-581-8844 for more info. K8LJ is looking for people to fill leadership roles for the upcoming Field Day event. In particular, we need an overall coordinator. N8WL offered to be in charge of the banquet, if there is one, and will invite local government officials to the event. W3CRZ agreed to handle the digital station and logging, as in past years, and K8RSP offered to coordinate the Satellite station. The meeting was adjourned at 7:10 PM VP N4HAI said that, unfortunately, there were no door prizes for this meeting, but KC8HIH offered some safe-biking bumper stickers for anyone who wanted them. N4HAI gave a synopsis of some of our future presentations now being planned, and introduced N9CX, who gave a talk and demo on the latest enhancements he and WA8LBZ had made to their QRP SWR meter. Respectfully submitted, Rob Stampfli, KD8WK CRES-ARC Secretary
