The CRES Amateur Radio Club held its first general membership meeting of the calendar year on Tuesday, 28 February 2017, at the Reynoldsburg branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library. Four guests and first time attendees introduced themselves. The Secretary's minutes from the December meeting were approved. The Treasurer reported we now have 37 paid members and $7216.85 in the bank. K8LJ reported that our VE team will hold an exam session at Parkview Presbyterian church on April 1st. K8RSP reported that the existing repeater appears to be working well. K8LJ added that our Echolink interface is likewise functioning OK although there appears to be a conflict between one of our repeater codes and an Echolink code. N4HAI informed us that our next meeting will be held on Thursday, April 20th. It will also be held at the Reynoldsburg branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library. K8LJ next conducted our 2017 elections, which were postponed from our last meeting. The offered slate included: George Foy, N4DLR - President Tom Foy, N4HAI - Vice President Rob Stampfli, KD8WK - Secretary Bob Cartwright, W3CRZ - Treasurer No additional nominations were made from the floor, and by a show of hands the above slate was elected unanimously. K8LJ told the meeting that the club had reserved and paid for our normal spot at the Infirmary Mound park for our 2017 Field Day exercise. N8WL passed out a Field Day survey form and asked those present to fill the form out and return it to him, preferably this evening. The meeting was adjourned at 7:02 PM after which K8RSP gave a talk about the progress he has made with making our new Fusion repeater ready for use.
